Rami Kim is an artist and ceramicist based in Los Angeles. She studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts) and UCLA. Rami creates enchanting everyday ceramic pieces under Rami Kim Studio that blur the line between sculpture and functionality. With her background in animation, her work is whimsical and poetic. Inspired by organic shapes, feelings, simplicity, people and furry friends, her creations come to life.

Her pieces, seamlessly blending artistry and utility, become more than just objects—they become companions in our daily rituals.

In 2017, Rami started a series of sculptures called "Blobby." These pieces aim to capture the fluidity and movement of clay in a particular moment. The term "Blobby," a combination of "blob" and "baby," represents the living essense that resides within Rami’s imagination. Alongside her body of Blobby sculptures, she continues to explore new series of animal and figure sculptures in her cozy studio nestled in La Crescenta, CA, where each creation finds its unique voice.

Born in Seoul, Korea.
